Announcing BANDS AGAINST BURGERVILLE! Artist boycott of Burgerville Radio! Visit http://bv-radio.com/ and tell Corporate you will #BoycottBurgerville until they sign a fair contract!
Since launching our union in April 2016, we have fought for fair wages, consistent scheduling, protection for undocumented workers, and general improvements to our working conditions at Burgerville. Last year we became the first federally recognized fast food union in the country. And this year, we are dedicated to winning the nation’s first ever fast food union contract!
Despite workers successfully forcing Burgerville to the bargaining table, Corporate is still dragging its heels and continues to pay its workers poverty wages. We demanded a $5/hour raise, and the fatcats at Burgerville have STILL, multiple times, only offered us 13 cents! How is that supposed to pay the rent?
It is clear that Burgerville will never do the right thing unless we apply lots and lots of pressure on them. Workers are getting organized and involved in the bargaining process. We are celebrating our victories and building our strike fund. And now, we are proud to announce BANDS AGAINST BURGERVILLE, a community boycott by musicians from the Pacific Northwest, many of them featured on Burgerville’s in-store radio station (http://bv-radio.com/).
Until you listen and respond to the voices of your workers, we in the Pacific Northwest musical community do not support our music being played on your radio station. WE WILL NOT BE THE SOUNDTRACK TO YOUR EXPLOITATION!
